Job Description

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team. As a Machine Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machine Operator- Saw / Punch Press

Location: Highland, NY

Pay Range: Starting at $17.00/hr

Shift: Monday - Thursday 2pm-12:30am- No Friday's!

What's the Job?

• Operate a variety of machines in the factory including sheet metal punching and forming, drilling, tapping, cutting, bending, and sanding.
• Interface with other departments to accomplish tasks and ensure smooth operations.
• Communicate professionally with team members and supervisors.
• Maintain a clean work area as required to promote safety and efficiency.
• Perform computer transactions accurately in accordance with company policies and procedures.

What's Needed?

• Prefer machine shop experience and familiarity with manufacturing and power tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Experience operating a variety of basic and complex machinery such as Up Cut Saw, Drill Press, and Hem Saw.
