Responsibilities for the Medical Billing Specialist:

• Direct billing team activities including claim submissions, payment reconciliation, and patient billing.
• Conduct audits to ensure billing accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Serve as point of escalation for billing issues.
• Ensure full compliance with healthcare billing regulations and internal policies.
• Develop internal processes and assist in implementing system upgrades.
• Provide staff training on procedures, software tools, and compliance standards.
• Analyze billing performance data and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with finance and IT to resolve billing system issues.

What You Bring to the Medical Billing Specialist role:

• At least 2-3 years of relevant billing experience in a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and payer-specific billing requirements.
• Working knowledge of EMR platforms, coding and billing systems.
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
