Summary / Objective

We are seeking a data-driven and strategic Business Analyst – Specialty & Operations to join our team and play a critical role in optimizing warehouse, shipping, and manufacturing operations across domestic and international markets. In this role, you will analyze end-to-end supply chain performance, uncover opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction, and support global expansion efforts through data-backed insights.

The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, experience with logistics and operations data, and the ability to collaborate across departments, including Finance, Logistics, Sales, and Production. You will be responsible for building detailed models, reporting on KPIs, evaluating shipping and inventory performance, and helping guide strategic decisions that impact both day-to-day operations and long-term growth.

Position Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Analyze and optimize warehouse operations performance across domestic and international facilities, identifying opportunities for efficiency, cost savings, and throughput improvements.
• Conduct detailed analysis of domestic and international shipping rates, including carrier performance, zone-based pricing, dimensional weight impact, and service-level comparisons.
• Support international expansion by analyzing sales performance, shipping cost efficiency, and customer trends by country or region.
• Develop and maintain models for breakeven analysis, cost per unit, and margin tracking for custom product production within the company’s custom manufacturing facility.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Logistics, Finance, Sales, Production) to analyze operational costs and deliver actionable insights.
• Build and present reports that summarize key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and forecasts related to warehouse, shipping, and sales operations.
• Evaluate SKU performance and inventory turnover to recommend stock optimization strategies, especially for high-customization or low-velocity products.
• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline order fulfillment workflows, including B2B and DTC processes.
• Analyze and track performance of outsourced and 3PL warehouse operations, including international sites, with a focus on cost control and service level adherence.
• Collaborate with finance to reconcile operational data with financial reporting and ensure alignment on profitability metrics.
• Assist in technology evaluations to support data gathering and operational analytics across ERP, WMS, and shipping platforms.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Experience with tools like Excel (advanced), SQL, Power BI, Spotfire, or similar
• Experience with AS400 is a plus
• Ability to interpret large datasets and uncover actionable insights
• Experience working with ERP, WMS, and shipping platforms

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a Business Analyst role
