A loving and professional family in Northern Virginia is seeking a warm, experienced full-time nanny to care for their newborn. The ideal candidate will be nurturing, dependable, and highly knowledgeable in infant care. The position is long-term and offers the opportunity to grow with the family through the baby's key developmental stages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, loving care for a newborn (feeding, diapering, naps, soothing, etc.)
• Follow and help reinforce a structured daily routine, including feeding and sleep schedules
• Monitor developmental milestones and engage baby in age-appropriate play
• Prepare and sterilize bottles; support breastfeeding or formula feeding
• Keep nursery tidy and maintain cleanliness of baby's belongings
• Light household tasks related to the baby (e.g., baby laundry, organizing supplies)
• Communicate daily with parents about baby's routines, moods, and progress
• Maintain a calm, peaceful, and safe environment at all times

• Comfortable working in a home with parents occasionally present

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of recent, professional experience caring for infants (newborn experience required)
• CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
• Up-to-date on childhood immunizations and willing to get MMR and Tdap, if not already
• Strong knowledge of infant development, sleep schedules, and safe sleep practices
• Able to maintain discretion and privacy for the family
• Clear background check and references required
• Non-smoker
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred (but not always required)
